Finances, application and contacts
Finances : fees and cost of living
Tuition fees depend on your nationality and residence. For European Economic Area nationals, as well as nationals of certain Francophone and disadvantaged countries, fees are around 250 euros per annum. For most non-European students they are around 4000 euros per annum. For details see the Campus France website: https://www.campusfrance.org/en/tuition-fees-France
The cost of living in Nancy is modest. Accommodation costs naturally vary, but rooms in student residences are available for rents starting around 250 euros per month. Nancy has a large student population so student accommodation is plentiful.
Public transport in Nancy costs around 1.50 euros per journey.
There are very affordable meal options available for students. A full, multi-course meal at the subsidised student restaurant costs between 1 and 3 euros, depending on the student’s situation.
Healthcare in France is excellent and inexpensive. Students of all nationalities are automatically entitled to 60% reimbursement of medical costs through the social security system, which can be increased to 100% by taking out additional ‘mutuelle’ cover at very little cost.
